Welcome to Caremongering Campbell River

Helping vulnerable people in Campbell River with their necessities since March 2020

Caremongering – Campbell River (CMCR for short) is a grassroots community made up of over 6,000 members, including 50+ screened volunteers, all working together to support one another with compassion, kindness, and empathy.

Our mission is simple but powerful:
To mobilize our community to help those in need, by connecting people who have time and resources to share with those who could use a hand. Whether it’s delivering groceries, donating household items, organizing community meals, offering emotional support, or simply being there for someone who’s struggling—CMCR is about showing up for each other in meaningful ways.

❤️ A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Community ❤️

At Caremongering Campbell River, we are constantly amazed by what happens when a community comes together with kindness, generosity, and a desire to help others.
To every donor, volunteer, sponsor, supporter, and cheerleader who has stood beside us since March of 2020—thank you. Your contributions, whether big or small, create meaningful change for local families facing difficult times. You are the reason random acts of kindness become something much bigger: a movement of neighbours helping neighbours.
This photo captures just some of our incredible volunteer team. While Caremongering is powered by more than 50 dedicated volunteers, this group represents the heart of what we do—people who generously give their time, energy, compassion, and creativity to make sure no one in our community feels alone.
Together, these volunteers organize events, collect donations, shop for families, pack hampers, deliver support, and spread kindness wherever it's needed. They are retirees, parents, students, workers, friends, and neighbours united by one simple belief: when we care for each other, amazing things happen.
This particular group photo was taken at our most recent fundraising event, where our community once again showed up in an extraordinary way. Thanks to your support, we raised $22,883—enough to shop for 228 local families in need right here in Campbell River.
That number represents more than dollars raised. It means full cupboards, holiday meals, children's smiles, reduced stress for struggling parents, and the reassurance that our community truly cares.
The magic of Caremongering isn't found in any one person or event—it's found in the collective generosity of this community. Every donation, every volunteer hour, every act of kindness helps write a story of hope for someone who needs it.

What We Do

Our mission is simple

To connect those with time and resources to share with those who need it most. Whether it's delivering groceries, providing essential household items, organizing food bank donations, or supporting families with meals and birthday celebrations for children in need, CMCR is here to make life a little brighter for everyone.

Through daily acts of care, we strive to foster a community where compassion, empathy, and understanding are the guiding principles. At CMCR, we believe that helping others is an honor and a privilege, and we aim to pay it forward whenever possible.

Thank you to our major sponsors

We couldn't do what we do at CMCR without your support!
